Carrie from Sex and the City once said that “In New York, you’re always looking for a job, a boyfriend or an apartment”, and honestly it couldn’t be any truer! At the moment I’m subletting a place in Manhattan which ends July 1st, and up until yesterday I didn’t have a place to move into this coming Wednesday. At this point I should tell you that I’m an extreme planner and not knowing where I would be living or if I would even have a place to move into was so stressful. But at the final moment, the housing gods heard my prayers and finally we found the perfect place! At the end of July, Cathal and I will be officially Upper East Siders! I can’t wait to move into our new home and get settled in! I’m already planning a trip to Ikea and hopefully will decorate the space nicely, But until then we will be subletting another place downtown, sad face!
On the plus side, New York provides the greatest backdrop for shooting outfit posts. I’m definitely going through a monochrome phase at the moment, and I loved this cute little Giraffe Blouse from H&M. The weather is a little temperamental here lately with huge heatwaves one day and thunderstorms the next so I’m conscious of finding pieces for my wardrobe that can be layered!
