Happy Sunday Everyone! Can you guys believe its half way through July already? Even though I’ve been in New York for 7 weeks, things are only beginning to settle down for me now. Next weekend Cathal and I move into our new apartment on the Upper East Side which I’m looking forward to more than anything. This week is even more special as I start my new job tomorrow. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am to get started in what quite literally is a dream job! I can’t believe my luck that I landed a job in a very cool company and I can’t wait to share all the details with you as soon as I settle in! In the meantime, here are some of the things I’m loving this month!

Movies: Last night I finally got to see the much hyped about “Trainwreck” with Amy Schumer. Honestly it was one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time and it has a really sweet story line too. Think Bridesmaids meets Sex and the City.  Another movie I recently saw was “The Longest Ride”.  Based on a great Nicholas Spark book about a very handsome cowboy and a beautiful southern bell, its your typical love story like the notebook but you can never have enough romance girls right?

Loving: As many of you probably know, back home my two dogs Levi and Henry (meet them here) are the loves of my life! The biggest struggle about being here in New York is not having a four legged companion. Cathal and I have quite literally become obsessed with spotting the coolest and fluffiest breeds here in the city. Just last week we followed a “Sheepadoodle” for a good two blocks until we finally stopped the owner to say hi. Needless to say I now want a sheepdog poodle mix!

Joining: Just this weekend I signed up to “Class Pass”, a programme that allows you to pay a monthly fee in exchange for unlimited fitness classes in many studios around the city. Theres so many classes from dance to boxing to spinning and this evening I’m taking my very first Pilates Reformer class. I’ll keep you guys updated on my favourite classes to take.

Watching: So far this Summer, I’ve added two new great shows to my list. Firstly is “Odd Mom Out”, a HILARIOUS show about Moms on the Upper East Side and the stereotypes they come across. I swear this show will be the next Modern Family once word gets out. Another sweet show is “The Astronauts Wives Club”, an American period drama following the wives of the first group of American astronauts. I actually really enjoy this one and love seeing the fashion from that time!
