Last weekend I took a trip over the East River on an Airtram to Roosevelt Island to shoot this look for the blog! At this point I should tell you that I had an amazing night out with friends the night before (hence the rings under my eyes!).  A big group of us got together at an Irish Bar to watch the Conor McGregor fight and I swear it made me realise how proud I am to be Irish. There’s something so unique and friendly about the Irish and we all just get each others humour, something which a lot of Americans just don’t understand.
My friends always laugh at me because if I hear an Irish accent on the street over here, I always make a point to stop and say “Hi, Where are you guys from?”, totally random and strange I know, but I feel theres really a strong connection between us Irish abroad. When you think of it, Ireland is such a small country and we all grew up with the same traditions like watching the toy show and drinking flat 7up when you had a tummy bug. Little things though they may be, no other country has the same traditions which all give us a common ground!
