Happy Friday Everyone! I’m beyond excited for this weekend because my sister is coming to visit for a few days! It’s her first time in New York so I can’t wait to show her my favourite spots, one of which will hopefully be Levain Bakery. Located at 167 W 74th Street, this tiny little cookie bakery is the go-to place for an indulgent treat! It’s by far my favourite hidden gem as it’s one of the few places that’s not a big tourist trap in the city, instead it’s treasured among the locals who often will wait 20 minutes in line just to get in! Cathal and I visited a few weeks ago and let me tell you, there’s not many things that would make me stand out in the freezing NYC Winter to wait for, but a chocolate chip cookie from Levain is well worth the wait!
Priced at $4 per cookie, it really is a meal in itself! The best part is that they’re served nice and warm and gooey and are you drooling yet? While the city is filled with many temptations for a sweet tooth, this little gem is most certainly number 1 on my list! If you’re ever in the city I couldn’t recommend it more and it’s located super close to Central Park so there’s prime opportunity for people watching while you munch on some cookies!
