Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it’s officially the holiday season! There’s absolutely no better time to visit New York than the weeks leading up to Christmas. Starting in mid-November, the city gets a festive makeover and makes it hard to walk around without a huge smile on their faces. It seems that a lot of people are visiting NYC over the coming weeks so I wanted to share some of my favorite things to do in the city during the most magical time of the year!

Happy Black Friday, everyone! I know a lot of people are sick to death of hearing about the sales by now, but I for one always look forward to Black Friday every year since moving to the States. I try my best not to spend a lot of money throughout October and November and then get everything I want when the sales begin. It’s a great opportunity to save some money on things that you know you’ve wanted for a while, but also get started on Christmas shopping! Here’a a couple of my favorite things that I’ve seen so far!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It’s a Thanksgiving week here in the States and although I can’t believe it’s already this time of year, I’m so excited to be spending the holiday in the city. For some reason it feels like life has been so busy since September so I’m welcoming a few days off with open arms! A couple of friends from Ireland are coming over to visit so it will be nice to do some of the typical touristy things and hopefully catch the Thanksgiving Day parade and of course, eat a lot of turkey! Besides that, I’m actually very excited for a little Black Friday sale shopping. Even though I know some people are sick to death of hearing about them already, I always take advantage of the reduced prices and stock up on things that I need.

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I hope you guys are having a great week. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about self-care and how important it is to our over all well-being. A couple of weeks ago I went to the doctor because I was feeling extremely tired all of the time, having some bad headaches and just lacking in energy to the point where I felt like I could fall asleep at any minute. Initially I thought that maybe I was deficient in something so requested a blood test which thankfully came back normal. It turns out that I was just burnt out and really run down, which was kind of surprising to me that it would manifest itself physically. Anyways since then I’ve been taking my self-care a little more seriously and wanted to share a couple of things that I’ve found to be helpful!
