Happy Black Friday, everyone! I know a lot of people are sick to death of hearing about the sales by now, but I for one always look forward to Black Friday every year since moving to the States. I try my best not to spend a lot of money throughout October and November and then get everything I want when the sales begin. It’s a great opportunity to save some money on things that you know you’ve wanted for a while, but also get started on Christmas shopping! Here’a a couple of my favorite things that I’ve seen so far!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It’s a Thanksgiving week here in the States and although I can’t believe it’s already this time of year, I’m so excited to be spending the holiday in the city. For some reason it feels like life has been so busy since September so I’m welcoming a few days off with open arms! A couple of friends from Ireland are coming over to visit so it will be nice to do some of the typical touristy things and hopefully catch the Thanksgiving Day parade and of course, eat a lot of turkey! Besides that, I’m actually very excited forĀ a little Black Friday sale shopping. Even though I know some people are sick to death of hearing about them already, I always take advantage of the reduced prices and stock up on things that I need.

It turns out that I was just burnt out and really run down, which was kind of surprising to me that it would manifest itself physically. Anyways since then I’ve been taking my self-care a little more seriously and wanted to share a couple of things that I’ve found to be helpful!

Happy Monday, everyone! All of the sudden we’re in full on Winter mode here in New York! Within two weeks it literally went from being t-shirt weather to needing to dig up my thermals. Honestly, I’m not even that mad about it because cold weather dressing is my absolute favorite. Nothing makes me happier than sweaters, fluffy coats and my good old Chelsea boots. Speaking of coats, I recently purchased a new that I’ve been wearing every day since it came in the mail. One of my favorite bloggers Something Navy created a line for Nordstrom that came out in September and I bought a couple of really cute pieces that I’ve been living in, this coat being one of them! For the price point, I was pretty surprised at how warm and cosy it is and the thing I love most about it is how oversized it is so you can wear a chunky sweater underneath with no problems. The only negative thing I would say about it is that there’s no button to close it so I might have to look into sewing one on myself just because I find myself holding it closed with my hands.
