My first weekend in New York was Memorial Day Weekend! The day after arriving I spent a couple of days in Connecticut! We stayed in my friends country house which is a beautiful sanctuary hidden away in the mountains! There was no TV or internet so it definitely was a place to just unwind! The view in the morning with was literally breathtaking! We spent the day cooking, going for walks and reading old issues of Harpers Bazaar!
The next day we visited a really quant town called Kent. The entire town just screams Gilmore Girls, I love it! It has beautiful coloured houses and tonnes of art galleries. Of course I used the warm weather as an excuse to pig out on ice cream!
