This week marks the end of my first month in New York, and quite honestly I don’t know where the time has gone. As thankful as I am to be living in one of the most amazing cities in the world, I’m glad that the initial setting up period is nearly over. All of my girlfriends out here agree, the first few weeks in New York can be a nightmare, struggling with leaving your family back home, trying to establish a career for yourself and the worst of all, finding a place to live that is affordable and comfortable. Knowing that everyone goes through the same things when they get here makes it easier, you just have to roll with the punches and believe that something wonderful is around the corner, and having some girlfriends to vent with at the end of the day over some french fries makes it even better!
On the plus side of being in New York at the start of the Summer, you will be around for all of the semi annual sales on the highstreet! This week my favourite stores Zara, HM and Topshop all started there sales and have some great bargains. I picked up this wrap dress in H&M for a steal and I think it will be the perfect Summer dress to wear to work during the day and grab a cocktail in the evening!
