I’m sitting here writing this post with a serious case of post vacation blues! You may have seen on Snapchat (Michaelabear1), this weekend to celebrate the Fourth of July, my friends and I headed up to the lake house in Connecticut. For the past two years, I’ve watched the fireworks from the city so it was extra special this year to escape the crowds and make the most of the peace and quiet. As much as I love the city, it really does make me appreciate being in the country side and being able to hear the birds chirp in the mornings!
The entire weekend pretty much consisted of sunbathing, boating and eating, so much eating! A highlight for me was definitely eating smores and being around some of my favourite people while watching the fireworks! Its always a little bit of a downer returning from a nice weekend away but we have already started to make plans for a weekend away in The Hamptons next month which is nice to look forward too!
