Happy Monday Guys! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of June! Summer is just passing by without me even noticing. June has definitely been a month that brought about a lot of changes and new experiences which I’m still pinching myself over! It makes me so excited to see what’s in store for the rest of the Summer! This weekend Cathal and I are going to Cape Cod to celebrate the Fourth of July. I grew up visiting Cape Cod during the Summers so it always feels somewhat like home when I get to go there. The weather is supposed to be beautiful so I’m hoping that it’s going to be a relaxing few days hanging out at the beach and a day trip to Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket.
You guys might have seen that I just returned from a flying trip to LA with work! My boss and I flew out to Vidcon to attend some amazing panels and meet with some of the worlds biggest social influencers! Obviously it was my first time attending Vidcon and I wasn’t too sure what to expect! Many had warned me that it was a huge convention centre filled with screaming teenagers (which it was) but it was also a huge opportunity to sit in on talks with some inspiring entrepreneurs as well as leaders from the social media and digital marketing industries which really brought out my inner nerd! I have to say the highlight of the trip was going to the YouTube party where I met so many people that worked at brands like Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Everyone was so lovely and it was beyond amazing to hear what it’s like to work behind the scenes at some of the brands that I love! Another highlight was meeting the beautiful Fleur De Force and sitting in on the #GirlLove panel with Lily Singh. Lily had such strong words on the importance of women supporting women in not only the blogging industry but just life in general and it couldn’t have resonated with me more! I firmly believe that when we all support each other, INCREDIBLE things happen and celebrating another’s success won’t ever dampen yours! I for one know that I would definitely not be where I am if it wasn’t for the support of my fellow Lady Bears!
