Happy Tuesday Guys! Hope you’re all having a great week! I don’t know about you, but I always find myself craving a whole new wardrobe each time a season changes! This past weekend I started swapping out my shorts for sweaters and found myself really craving an Autumn/Winter shopping spree! The older I get, the more I realize the importance of having a few key staples that you love in your wardrobe as opposed to buying every single trendy thing you see in Penneys or Forever 21 that week! Hence why I wanted to start a new shopping series here on the blog called “The Classics,” where each week I’ll be sharing items that I consider to be great staple pieces that can be worn again and again in different ways!
I’m starting out this week with an item that has been on my wishlist for many months now, a Max Mara Camel Wool Coat! Now, I’ll be the first to admit that my first pick is quite expensive with coats ranging from $900-$3000 (which i know is TOTALLY crazy for a coat.) But I’ve been keeping an eye out on sites like The Real Real and Ebay in hopes that I’ll find a nice second hand one for a reasonable price! Something about a classic camel coat, be it a trench or a wool coat just feels like such a great wardrobe staple! I bought a high street version in Zara about two years ago that I literally wore to death to the point where there’s a hole under each armpit now (evidence here, here and here!), so I already know that it’s a purchase I would get a lot of wear out of! There’s also so many great knock off versions at many different price points that I’ve linked below!
