Happy Fourth of July Everyone! I’m beyond excited to spend today at the beach before going to my favourite little town here on Cape Cod, Chatham. Some of you might have seen on Snapchat (Michaelabear1) or Instagram, that I went to Nantucket yesterday for a little day trip. Honestly, it was one of the funnest days I’ve had so far this year! I’ve spent years coming to Cape Cod to visit my family but haven’t visited Nantucket since I was a child so I was more than excited to go back! A couple of you sent great recommendations of what to do there which was so so helpful! I’ll be putting together a travel guide for Nantucket in the next few days but for now I just wanted to share a couple of fun snaps.

Hi from Cape Cod everyone! Cathal and I are here for the long weekend and I couldn’t be happier! The Fourth of July is always one of my favourite holidays here in the States and a great excuse for a mini vacation! I’m finding it so hard to believe that July is here already, but with the first of the month came a great surprise! You might have seen on my Instagram, I shared a picture of the first issue of Teen Vogue with my byline in it. It was such a pinch me moment seeing it in real life and if I’m honest I genuinely felt really proud! My Mom used to buy me the magazine when I was growing up and I don’t think ever in my wildest dreams did I imagine that my name would one day be in it! You never know where a lucky streak could bring you! Now if only I could win the lottery!

Happy Monday Guys! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of June! Summer is just passing by without me even noticing. June has definitely been a month that brought about a lot of changes and new experiences which I’m still pinching myself over! It makes me so excited to see what’s in store for the rest of the Summer! This weekend Cathal and I are going to Cape Cod to celebrate the Fourth of July. I grew up visiting Cape Cod during the Summers so it always feels somewhat like home when I get to go there. The weather is supposed to be beautiful so I’m hoping that it’s going to be a relaxing few days hanging out at the beach and a day trip to Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket.

Aloha everyone! This weekend was such a great one here in New York! One of my closest friends Jen came to visit us from Ireland for a few days. I’ve mentioned Jen a few times here on Life of a Lady Bear! Some of my best memories at home and here in New York are with her! Three years ago I had one of the funnest Summers of my life living in a one bedroom apartment with Jen and two other girlfriends and then last year when I moved here, Jen was the one who got my over my homesickness hump those first few days after arriving! She’s always been such a sweet friend and I couldn’t have been happier to have her back in the city for a couple of days. On Saturday you might have seen we had a pool day and a barbecue on a rooftop overlooking Manhattan and on Sunday we spent the day at Long Beach (which is an amazing beach within a train ride from NYC!). I’ll be the first one to admit that I very rarely sit down and just chill on the weekends, I usually feel the constant need to be out seeing the city but sometimes a little downtime is so needed plus I got to work on my tan (meaning I’m one shade less white at the moment!)
