Hi Everyone! I have to say I’m definitely feeling refreshed after the most relaxing weekend. Some of you might have seen on Snapchat (Michaelabear1) or Instagram, that the girls and I went on a “Staycation” at The Boro Hotel in Long Island City. Sometimes when you’re living in Manhattan, it’s vey easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget what an amazing city it is but the one thing that reminds me every single time is the view of the New York skyline. The best thing about the entire experience at The Boro was the views of the skyline. Honestly I was lying in bed looking at the freaking Empire State Building, how many times in my life will I get to experience that!

Yesterday I was walking through Soho on my way to a meeting and I randomly bumped into Kelly Cutrone (remember Kelly from The City and America’s Next Top Models?). For such a simple occurrence, it was one of those quintessential New York moments where I was reminded that I live in the most amazing city in the world. A city filled with these amazingly talented and ambitious people who move here to become the best version of themselves, get the best jobs, meet the best people, and live the life they always dreamed of.

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone! Whether you’re loved up or a single lady, I really like to think of today as a chance to tell your loved ones how special they are to you. Since moving to NYC, the importance of having good friends has really resonated with me. I’m beyond thankful that I have a great group of girlfriends in the city, without whom I’m pretty sure I would have lost my mind by now! So this year I thought it would be a nice idea to send out some homemade “Galentines Cards”. It’s no secret that I am a stationary hoarder, so I love to send handwritten letters when I get the chance, especially in an age where everything is done by emails.

 I don’t know about you guys, but one of my favourite closet staples is a Little Black Dress. Though the perfect LBD can be hard to find, I really think that the right one can be worn in so many different ways from casual workwear with a sweater and tights to an evening Valentines dinner with classic heels. When I found this one by Aqua in Bloomingdales, I thought it was the perfect fun occasion dress and it reminded me of one of my favourite brands Self Portrait (but for a fraction of the price!).
