Every Summer I spend in America, I always save some money for my very last week so I can pop into Sephora and stock up on my makeup for the year! This year was no exception and I may have even done more damage than ever before. Like a typical girl, I really do love my makeup and nothing makes me more excited than finding a new product to use. Because lets face it, we do not all wake up looking like Beyonce!

 I’m so delighted to be sharing part one of my “Lady Bears Travel Guide to New York’. New York is a city where people are always visiting and sometimes I think we can fall into the trap of only visiting the typical tourist attractions over there which would really be such a shame because there is so much more to see and do! I spent the last two weeks of my Summer in New York vacationing around the city with Cathal, doing lots of touristy things trying to knock everything off of my list and to be brutally honest I didn’t get around to blogging about most of it! So even though I’m at home in Ireland stick with me while I share some happenings from the last of NY! I really wanted a weekend at the beach towards the end of summer, but due to a lack of time and funds, my ideal trip to the Hamptons didn’t quite happen. So instead Cathal and I hopped on the subway all the way out to Coney Island for a beach day. Its kind of known for being a little bit of a dump but if I found it quite fun to walk around the rides and the beach was perfectly clean so I couldn’t have asked for more. Well maybe a little more of a tan because my white ass literally blended into the sand!

My first day back at home in Galway after my whirlwind Summer in New York is filled with unpacking and jet lag! I always have mixed feelings coming home from NYC being happy to see my family and have the  home comforts again but sad to be missing the crazy energy of the city and seeing something new and different every single day. It is a little easier knowing that I’ll be returning in 9 months time after I finish up my masters! But in the mean time here is part two of my series of outfit posts in my favourite New York spots! (See look 1 here) We shot this on the high line in Chelsea which is a beautiful walkway that is elevated over part of the city! It used to be a railroad but they renovated it into this serene walkway that boasts some beautiful views of Chelsea!
