Happy Cyber Monday Guys! It’s back to reality after a wonderful mini Thanksgiving break in Newport (I’ll be sharing a post all about it this week, but feel free to see a sneak peek at what we got up to over on Instagram). Don’t get me wrong, I adore NYC and feel very blessed to be living here at the moment, but every once in a while, a city-escape is well needed. Particularly leading up to this one, I truly was starting to feel a little tired of the never ending NYC Grind! Between working long hours and keeping up Life of a Lady Bear, it can sometimes feel like you have no true time to yourself. But alas after a few relaxing days, I definitely feel more refreshed than ever and ready to get to work over the next few weeks before heading home for Christmas! Some of you may have seen on snapchat (michaelabear1), that one of my best friends from home surprised me with a visit last night when we arrived back at the apartment from Newport! I don’t quite think I’ve been more surprised in my life but I’m so excited to have her here for a few days to make the most out of the festiveness in New York as we can!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m currently wrapped in blankets on my couch with all of my Yankee Candles lit and watching Miracle on 34th Street. This morning for the first time ever, I went to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and it was such a delight! If I’m not spending the day with family, there couldn’t be a better way to spend it! I’m on the verge of making a rather special purchase during the Black Friday Sales and I wanted to share some of the great bargains I’ve come across and three of my favorite items from each store!

Happy Tuesday Guys! This week is obviously Thanksgiving here in the states which means it’s a short working week for me ! This past weekend was the first time I started getting the festive feels this year and I know its still early but I’m ready to embrace the Christmas cheer in every which way I can. One of my favorite things about being in NYC during the holidays is seeing the Bergdorf Christmas Windows. Ever since I saw that movie “Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorfs,” I have a whole other appreciation for the work that goes into creating these beautiful masterpieces! And I dont say that light-heartedly becuase the details in each of these windows is literally astounding. Another festive gem is the actual Christmas Shop on the top floor of Bergdorfs, which is so much fun to visit and drool over the $50 ornaments that I could only DREAM of decorating my tree with!

Happy Saturday Everyone! I have to say I was counting down the days for the weekend to arrive, for some reason this week in particular went very slow so I’m glad to be enjoying a little downtime today! After work last night, Cathal and I went on a double date to the Bryant Park Christmas Market which was just the thing I needed to get me in the festive spirit! I’m still pinching myself that Thanksgiving is next week! Is it just me, or is this year the fastest one yet?
